lots of sleeping complete with sweet baby coos.
kisses and hugs (and a tiny bit of squishes) from big brother.
snuggles, snuggles, snuggles! it's so hard to set her down.
her umbilical cord fell off on day five and she had her first bath on day eleven!
she was so calm and content.
more sleeping!! she's eating every two to three hours during the day and about every four at night!
i can't even begin to describe what an amazing big brother corbin has been since the second we brought layla home. always wanting to be kissing and hugging and snuggling her. when corbin and i went on a mommy and me date he wanted layla to come with us even!
ryan started a new part time job the week layla was born so i've had little glimpses here and there of what it's going to be like to be outnumbered by my children. there are times when i feel like supermom breasfeeding layla while i make corbin dinner and then other times where i'm crying because both my kids are crying and i can't take care of either of them fast enough. one day at a time i keep telling myself.
i never want to forget the piggie noises she makes while nursing and how she looks like a turtle poking its head out of its shell when she's stretching. EXACTLY like her big brother did. her grumpy and kissy faces. her sleepy smiles. she is beyond precious and calm. and her daddy is head over heels for her! we all are.
