nights three and four were very much the same. instead of having to get up on the bed to rub his back the three times he woke up, those nights i just hummed my little good night song laying on my floor bed and he went right back to sleep.
i think i jumped the gun on night five by trying to sleep on the couch. i woke up at twelve thirty to a toddler crying and walking towards me saying, "where'd mama go?". i tried getting him back to sleep without nursing him but i was TIRED and got lazy and nursed him to sleep!
it seems as if his naps are getting longer during the days too and that at night he is staying asleep for longer periods of time! he's asking for water a lot at night though. do you think it has something to do with my supply?
today i nursed corbin before his nap, he played around for a while in bed, then i just rubbed his back and he fell right to sleep! which is nuts beings that he's always fell asleep while nursing!
i keep saying how i wish i would have done this sooner but really i have always told myself weaning and transitioning corbin to his own bed would happen once he could understand what was going on and he very much does so it was just time!
