mariners fanfest!

today we hung out at safeco field for mariner's fanfest! this will for sure be a yearly event for us from now on!
we got to hang out on the field!
and run the bases and hang out in the dugout and tour the locker rooms!

aaaaand i took a lot of pictures!

our week in iphone pictures! {six}

monday:
this little moment was the highlight of my week. corbin and i snuggled up on the couch and he fell asleep on me. no boob in his mouth. no rocking. no bouncing. just cuddling with his mom!
and i pretty much let corbin play with whatever he wants when im cooking to keep him occupied. today it was a bottle of mountain dew!
tuesday:
story time at the library.
and playing in great grandma nana's yard.

wednesday:
trip to the park!

thursday:
baby gym graduation!

friday:
we went to the childrens film festival to rock out with caspar babypants! the two short films they played totally kept corbins attention to! one was tally ho, pancake and the other was about a freaking tractor!
 saturday:
corbin got over his fear of rainboots and we went splashing in puddles!

and then it was tractor book story time before bed!
sunday:
 we got a late and lazy start to our morning stuffing our face with breakfast on the couch!
but we eventually got ready and headed to mariner's fan fest where corbin got to run around the bases and tour the locker rooms!

 on our way home ryan and i had lunch at dick's drive-in while i sang, "my posse's on broadway" by sir mix-a-lot {who lives like five minutes from me BY THE WAY!} the whole time!

flashback friday!

the evolution of corbin's hair!

 i remember that last ultrasound i had right before they decided to induce me. they had to check my fluid levels and his growth. the technician mentioned to us, "oh this baby has so much hair!" and ryan and i both looked at each other crazy! so much hair? i had always envisioned our children having my dark hair and ryan's blue eyes. but how much hair? i'd never even thought of that! so out he came the next day. head FULL of hair! dark as can be. and CURLY too!! we should have known. ryan's family are all curly haired dudes! remember this post and ryan's dads wild white guy afro?
 but a few months passed. his dark little curls kept falling out and he was a bald guy in no time!. i remembered being worried those curls would never come back.
 but a few more months passed and in they grew again! a little lighter and even curlier than before!
 and here we are today. well last night really, after his bath. if you stretch those curls out they are incredibly long. he gets dreadlocks in the back if i dont brush his hair at least once a day. they stick straight out. ryan wants him to get a haircut. i cant even imagine it.
what to do? what to do?

baby gym graduation!

this morning corbin graduated from his 'birds' baby gym class! unlike our last graduation this past summer, everyone had to work or go to school so great grandma nana was the only one able to make it! and looking back at that post i cant believe how much corbin and all the other kids have grown! its fun to know that many of those same kids are still in corbin's class!
{shakin' his shaker! he never stays on the mat and is always wandering!}
{best pals!}
{where's the ball?}
{hanging out with miss shannon!}

{ball time!!!}
{bubble time!!!}
i dont think i held still or actually looked into the camera one time, thus the incredibly fuzzy pictures but oh well. we had a fun time at our last class!

{curly haired bed head} wordless wednesday!

books and dirt!

this morning we headed out to 'bouncing babies story time' at our local library! the teacher was old and adorable and mixed songs up and we both had a fun time! corbin wandered all over the room as expected while i sat by myself doing the motions to the songs.

after a few stories and a million songs they brought out some toys to play with. corbin's eyes went straight for the one and only dump truck the teacher poured out but an older kid picked it up first! corbin managed to get the kid to finally hand it over to him and he ran to the windowsill where no other kids were and played with it for pretty much the rest of the time! silly kid.
{neener, neener kid! i got the dump truck!}

and how come i never even thought about how impossible it would be to actually go into the library afterwards and pick out some fun books to bring home for a few weeks with a toddler who just wanted to run all over! i finally was able to scoop him up on my hip for a few seconds and happened to stop in the transportation section where i quickly grabbed every book i could find with tractors, airplanes, firetrucks, and trains in them!
{dont be fooled, this only lasted the split second it took for me to take the pic. then he was off!}

i picked story time at this certain library because of the cool park right behind it. we took corbin there on his first birthday to let him eat his very first cupcake after dinner and i kind of forgot how much geared towards older kids it was. corbin was content freaking out with excitement at how close the squirrels scurried up to him wanting a bite of his elmo crackers and wandering around in the big open fields!
{you there mom? okay, lets go!}

after a car nap on the way home {and a starbucks latte and oatmeal that i treated myself to!} we ate some lunch and headed to great grandma nanas for a tractor ride and to play in her HUGE yard! corbin has never really been in that part of her yard so he had a really fun time exploring, picking up sticks, and eating playing with dirt from the mole hills!
at dinner i snapped this cute pic {todays pics are pretty much all brought to you by my lousy iphone} of him saying, "cheeeeeese" for me when i asked him to! such a cutie pie!
